Honig Studios produced a Facebook app and a YouTube Video for Universal Music, promoting the latest single of Jessie J and to raise awareness for her new single, especially to teenage girls.
The app reached over 10.000 views and over 1.000 shares in the first weeks. The application was translated in eight languages and was distributed in over 30 countries. It was the first project of Universal Music Germany to be distributed internationally.
The app perfectly syncs the user’s webcam feed to a prerecorded video, creating a seemless karaoke experience.
The video connects to facebook to incorporate some of the user’s information, making the experience feel personal and live.
We created a custom backend for multilingual support and deployment.
The application renders the user’s webcam stream to bitmapdata, tracking her movement and actions. The user is rewarded if he or she dances along with Jessie J.
